“Pop Toy Milo” is an original contemporary painting by PVettese that reimagines the Venus de Milo through the worlds of LEGO, Pop Art, and Street Art.

At the center of the canvas, the famous figure from the ancient sculpture takes the form of a monumental toy character. Its gray, mineral-like silhouette contrasts with a particularly energetic background dominated by yellow, ochre, black, and white.

Drips, splatters, spray-paint effects, lines, and inscriptions cover the space and extend onto the figure. The words “BEAUTY,” “NOT A STATUE,” and “DON’T LOOK AT ME” are integral to the composition and reinforce its urban aesthetic.

The encounter between the Venus de Milo and the LEGO imagination creates a dialogue between a major reference in art history and the visual codes of toys and contemporary popular culture. The figure retains a gentle, almost naive appearance, while the setting surrounding her is free-flowing, dense, and chaotic.

With its vibrant yellow, black contrasts, and instantly recognizable central figure, *Pop Toy Milo* brings a strong graphic presence to a contemporary interior.

The artist’s works are featured in numerous private collections around the world (Europe, the United States, China, Mexico, Australia). She is listed by Akoun and Drouot and won the People’s Choice Award in 2020. Each artwork is packed with the utmost care and shipped via a specialized carrier, securely and requiring a signature upon delivery. It comes with a certificate of authenticity (COA) signed and dry-stamped by the artist.

This contrast reflects several tensions present in PVettese’s work: chaos and gentleness, freedom and constraint, innocence and the contemporary world.

Painting photographed online and painting visible "for real"

If you like a possible painting in the online gallery, it will always seem even more beautiful "for real". All collectors who experience it confirm this to me.

However, representing painting's format can be difficult. This is why the dimensions are clearly mentioned in the description above.

Advice: you can transfer painting 's dimensions you like on a template (cardboard for example) then put it where painting is intended.
